I had that same problem. The "boyfriend" is now my ex. He didn't understand why I still talked to some of my ex's. Just because you breakup with someone doesn't mean you hate them. You didn't date that person simply because he was cute. YOu guys were friends too right? Most likely friends first? Just because you didn't make it as a couple doesn't mean the friendship has to die. If you want to still be friends let your boyfriend know, don't hide it. Be honest. If he can't handle it that is up to you what you want to do from there. Personally I can't be with someone who tries to control me.

your boyfriend is being over-protective. He should be happy that you are with him and not someone else. He needs to learn to trust you. Sometimes your ex's can become some of your best friends. IF YOU want to be friends with your ex then go ahead and talk to him. your current boyfriend shouldnt try to choose your friends.

If you are that involved with your ex, it is going to be hard to keep a good relationship with someone else. Only bad things can happen when you keep in touch with your ex on a regular basis.

no, if you really love him, let it go. That way, if his ex calling him and talking to him all the time, you have a reason to tell him he can't do it too. anyway, there's a reason why he's an ex.

If your boyfriend's feelings aren't as important as keeping in touch with your ex, then you should dump him. Why do you think you need to remain friends with your ex, to the detriment of your current relationship? If you email your ex, you're being deceitful, and if you're being deceitful, you need to end it with your boyfriend.

If you can't have trust in a relationship there IS NO relationship.
SOME people can remain friends with their ex's, he should realize this. He should also trust you enough to know you won't cheat on him.
HOWEVER, if you still have feelings for your ex, you should not talk to him, IMO.

Why not try talking with your BF about it, I mean your not his property (no one should be someone's property)... Ask him why he can't trust you and tell him that that hurts you... If he can't understand how you feel then he doesn't deserve someone like you...
