when watching big brother live at like 12:30 am..why do they cut out what the housemates are saying and play recordings of birds singing and planes flying past?it happens every 7min or so

1. In case somebody says something offensive
about someone outside of the house and the makers of Big Brother gets a lawsuit slapped on them.
2. Product placement. A contestant may mention a brand name and it's considered free advertising and thus unfair to other brands.
3. Language. There is a limitation on how much swearing is allowed on a programme
4. Editing. If something happens that the producers want to include in the main show, the sound will be taken off so that footage is still 'exclusive' and unseen.

I heard it is as the housemates talk about stuff like their address and shops they go to E.T.C the bit we see is actually ten minutes after it happens it is checked and the cut in the right places! FLIPPING annoying tho as you think this is good and the birds come on DAMMIT xxx

They got rapped after the last series for so much bad language so they make sure they cut it out this time.

What is Big Brother? Just Kidding - its when they talk about things BB doesn't want you to hear. i.e. talking about celebrities or even people they know because they have the right to sue if they want.

they shouldnt blank nothing out, they say its live but its running 10 mins behind so they know where to blank it out & put those stupid bird & plane noises, it starts getting interesting then they blank it out

half of it is when they are swearing but another is a limit of how long you can show people live at certain times
