totally depends on the persons body make-up...
i have one, and everyone thinks its real cute!
but then again, i have several friends who are severely overweight and they got belly bars thinking it would make them sexy! lol...
i think they're totally cute, even more so if you get a dangly piercing with stars, etc...
i don't likethose people who wear cut-off shirts just to show off their piercings though,... if you go to the beach or pool or something it's cool though

They can be... I noticed when going on holiday that a lot of "larger" girls seem to think that a belly bar acts as some kind of slimming device, which they clearly aren't. On the flipside, a girl'd need to have some meat on her 'round there. The photo of Keira Knightley that was in the UK papers the other day illustrated this (as much as I love her); there didn't seem to be enough flesh around her belly bar to hold the thing in place!

I to have a belly button bar had it done when i was 30 yrs old lol
most people i know think its sexy, and no stretch mark's
again its down to personal preference

I have a belly bar and I have a tattoo on my belly, and both look great as far as I am concerned! I've certainly never had any complaints! :)

I've seen it look nice on some people... but then again, for everyone it looks nice on, there are 30 fat heifers who show theirs off.
Add to that the fact that they're so prone to infection, and I don't think I'm a fan...

I like them although they are getting a bit common now. I have one (well actually a ring, not a bar) but I never show it off-I like the fact it's hidden.
