will your belief in God be shaken? (it will likely happen one day)

If you believe God made us in his image, whose image were intelligent aliens made?

And why is the Earth in the center of the universe? Oh wait, Christians don't believe that anymore! sorry

A similar thing happened when the Americas were "discovered". and people were living there who are not mentioned in the bible. The pope came up with some lame reasoning for it.

By the way, here in Kansas, some folks do think that the earth is the center of the universe because the bible says so.

Faith is about belief, some folks wouldn't be shaken if God Himself told them they are wrong.

What does the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence have to do with the existence of God one way or the other?

If anything, it would strengthen the case for the anthropic principle.

As for the image of God in sentient creatures, I answered a question of yours yesterday on that subject; didn't you read it? Or maybe you're the kind of person who only seems to ask questions, but thinks he already knows all the answers. The image of God is the fact that human beings subsist in the mode of personhood. The same will be true for sentient aliens.

And BTW, Copernicus was a Christian.

The United State is hideing stuff from us so who can tell if there will be a signal. My beliefs on God will not be shaken because he is real to me and I love him.

What has religious belief got to do with finding aliens? They are just another form of life, we have so many to discover here on earth itself!

Well, when that happens, I'll tell you. LOL
What am I supposed to say? That it will shake my faith? No, that wouldn't do it. I've always liked to think about aliens, how they would look, and stuff. I'd like another civilization. IF it exists... And IF they visit... That's two big IFs, imo.
