Is he mentally challenged? If not then that family has some real problems that they really should address

does he use it outside the house or just at bedtime?? i sleep with a teddy bear and i am a lot older than 14. he may use his pacifer the same way--for comfort. however, if he uses it all the time there may be a mental problem that you are not aware of.

Why is that any of your concern? People have all kinds of mental or physical issues/problem that they'd rather not make public. It is very possible that he is developmentally challenged.
