you can sell it as a parts car, sign a note stating so and have them sign it with a copy for each and you don't have to worry about smogging it.

you can sell it on craigslist or ebay under parts, parts cars. it will only cost you $4 or $5 :)

don't sell it "as is" this won't release you from any responibility

You could sell it to a salvage yard. They will pay a little more for one that you drive in, vs. tow in. Even in fair condition, which yours isn't, an Omni is only worth $5-600. You might try putting a for sale sign on it and see if you can get a little more, but the Omni is not exactly a collector car, so I doubt people will be beating your door down.

As for fixing it, the airbag, even from a salvage, will cost you more than the car is worth after being fixed. Cut your losses. Sounds like you got your money's worth out of this one. Sell it to the salvage and get another car.

Sorry if this is bad news....

i have had 2 omni's bvoth engines blew so if your engine is still good try and get to a junkyard, replace the parts needed (except airbag) And sell for about $1500 or BO dont bother painting them. let some new driver buy it and fix it up. tell them there is no airbag. (legal requirement) it still should last 6 years. sell on local free classifieds

Sell the car as is. In your description to sell, just tell potential buyers what you BELIEVE is wrong with the car and that the car should be towed. Odds are you probably won't find many takers for that car. Maybe look into your local salvage yard. As long as the car can start and drive, they will buy it from you for some cash (albeit not a lot!). Good luck.

If you just want to get rid of it you can contact a local charity and make a donation. You will get a tax credit and most charities will come right to your home and pick it up. I'm in the car business and I can tell you with quite certainty a 1990 Dodge doesn't have much value. The Charity is your best bet.

All cars are sold 'as is', unless you specifically warranty it to the buyer. You can legally say whatever you want about the car, and the law recognizes the principle of Caveat Emptor, or 'let the buyer beware'.
Realistically, the $400 your are likely to get for the crappy thing isn't hardly worth the effort. And, anyone who buys a wrecked, 17-year-old vehicle can't expect much! So relax, and just sell it as basic transportation that needs a little work. Best of luck.

Put an ad in the paper. Someone may buy it and fix it, or part it out.

Doesn't the airbag legally have to be fixed before you can sell it????

Advertise it on Yahoo! autos as is.
