I have seen a fellow near where I live who literally has no nose. I don't mean his nose is small, collapsed or pinched like Michael Jackson's. I mean there's nothing there but a hole, and you can see ridges that might be the front of his sinus cavities, covered with skin. Other than violence or accident, how could such a condition come about?

cancer, burns, skin diseases/infections, birth defect, are a few that would cause the removal of the nose.

birth defects is one reason for someone to not have a nose. other than being through an accident. unfortunately things like that happen a lot lately. some women don't get enough folic acid before their pregnancy, or during the pregnancy. it's a major factor in the development of an unborn child.
