If you're shy about asking him out, ask him if he'd like to come to a birthday party or a friend's party, and see how it goes from there.

No you should'nt ask a guy out, wait for him to ask if you want to go out with him. If I were you I would wait until I was 38 and then if he comes to my house and he asks me if I want to go out with him I would say yes.
