That their cherished Cambrian explosion that they like to cite as an argument against evolution occured 542 million years ago. What a supreme irony-creationists are using an argument that absolutely destroys young earth creationism.

King-
I define a creationist as someone who doesn't accept the fact of biological evolution in species seeing instead some divine influence in the natural world. My reason for posting this is because I don't think they fully understand the implications of many of the fatally flawed arguments that they churn out.

Oh some of these answers are better than I could have hoped for. Creationists are challenging arguments that other creationists are using to challenge evolution. Excellent. ROFL.

Sean,
If your understanding of evolution was based on that alone I suggest you haven't been trying too hard to find valid information. Evolution in species is a fact-if you look at the evidence objectively you'll come to realise that.

Evolution hasn't ever been shown on the point you're speaking about. or perhaps if it were real than you want to describe to me, why if guy advanced from a monkey why are they nonetheless not evolving? in the journey that they did why are there nonetheless monkeys? What a number of them did not evolve for what ever reason? How stupid! the actual incontrovertible fact that you declare that our protection of the fact is purely demoting us is honestly incorrect, and in accordance such as your opinion purely. thousands of thousands of human beings come to Christ on a daily basis, now that's a fact. that's obvious that your not a believer because in case you ever felt the skill of God, or experienced and witnessed the healing that comes from Jesus Christ, there might want to be no room for doubt on your existence. There are numerous thousands of thousands human beings which have felt and performance considered and performance witnessed, are you calling everyone lairs? I really have not started to be certain a monkey evolve right into a man or woman, have you ever? And did you recognize the adaptation between a guy and a animal?

We don't agree that it was that long ago... but the evidence is there, so to speak. For me personally, I don't think that the method scientists use to date the earth is exactly correct. The number of years doesn't really matter. What matters is that all those species' fossils showed up all in one area around the same layer of the earth. It shows that things didn't evolve slowly, like evolution states.

The number of years science gives that layer doesn't matter to us. Really, we don't think the way they test is accurate. So you cannot say we use an argument that destroys young earth creationism.

You just screwed up the only thing I had to go by to try to understand evolution.

Paleontologist state that fish were evolving fins between 580 million years ago and 470 million years ago, now you tell me that's a lie. Thanks

How come everything based on evolution turns out to be a lie?

I don't agree with either of you. I believe in a young earth. I believe God created it all in six days as the Bible says. There is a reason for it taking God six days because I know God could have done it instantly. One day is as a thousand years to God so 6 days could be 6,000 years. World without end and the meek will inherit the earth.

They like to point out every gap in our knowledge as if that is evidence of god. It isn't at all. Just means we don't know.

To even discuss this topic is to admit that evolution is occurring. It is true we can't explain how it happened so fast at this point. But I am sure the Biologists will at some point.

LOL. No kidding.

Oh and Watcherd, do you have any (here comes that scary word again) PROOF that Leakey was a fraud?
No, of course not. I understand that science is scary for you but try not to disparage something you clearly don't understand ok?

542 million years ago??? Surely you have lost your mind. The only irony is that you seem to put your faith in the created. Try putting the same faith in the Creator.

I don't believe the earth is that young, and the Bible doesn't teach that. It only really points to the approximate time man has been here on earth. Which destroys your destruction, so there ;-P

Every argument for evolution is already destroyed by the fallacious and made-up "evidence" that supposedly backs it.
You know perfectly well that Leaky was a fraud - what a waste!

Were you alive 542 million years ago? I didn't think so. Then how do you know? Remember, you can not tell me the date of a rock.
