i am trying to start eating fruit for breakfast every morning, but i dont know how long some specific items will keep if i store them in the refrigerator. specifically i am wondering about mangos, strawberries and Kiwi. i know strawberries are probably the shortest life span, but i dont know much about unsliced kiwi or mango. any other suggestions on fruits and how long they keep would be WELL appreciated. Thank you!

Fruit life is short. The reason the fruit has some acids and those work in rare way. So,keep in mind.No more than one o two days.In work in the food business and we replace the fruit salad daily.

Longer than an elephant, but shorter than a Twinkie. Part of it depends on how ripe it is when you buy it. You should always buy ripe strawberries because they don't continue to ripen once they've been picked, but other fruits, such as your mango and kiwis will vary. Untouched, your strawberries should be good for no more than 4 days, but the peak would be 2 days. Nearly ripe mangos should be washed and put in a plastic bag to keep and will probably last a week, max. Kiwis will last a bit longer, about a week and a half. Consider getting frozen fruit and putting a serving in the fridge the night before. It will thaw just enough to be tasty. This is especially good for peaches and berries.
