Is this blend significantly better in quality/taste than your averaged-priced beer?

They should rename it Queer Beer... if you're drinking to get hammered then light beer is fine, if you want to drink beer for the flavor, then the only Major american beer thats any good at all is Sam Adams... and even it is suspect. Be a man and grab a Bass, or better yet a Guiness, and if your candy *** is on a diet Guiness only has about 120 calories per PINT!!!

I was pleasantly surprised. As I am not a Budweiser fan, I didn't try it in order to "class it up", I was just curious. Not as good as other high end brews but beats the hell out of most middle of the road domestics AND imports! (Why is that stuff so highly regarded when it tastes like it was brewed in the bilge of the boat it came over on?)
To sum up- better than average for a beer you can buy at a convenience store.

Given that Budweiser's brewery is in my state and about 30 minutes from my home, I'll love the Buds! Select is a little cleaner than Bud Light. I get my beer fresh, so I know what good, fresh Bud tastes like! Those who dislike Budweiser, Check your "Born On" dates. That's probably why your beer isn't as wonderfully tasting as those of us who get it so fresh!

I actually prefer the taste of Bud Light over Select but it does have a good taste. Much better than most in my opinion.

After the first 2 beers they all taste the same except for the real dark and stout ones.

It's ok and nothing special. It's really not any better or worse than regular Bud or Bud Light. It does have a slightly cleaner or drier taste than Bud. I think it's similar to Mick Ultra.

anything budweiser is gross. if i have to go with a cheap american beer it is Coors Light, but that is still pretty bad

I prefer bud light to bud select.....I'd drink bud select over regular bug anyday though.......
