I suspect you might be having an out of reality experience.
A train driver is mortal, just like the rest of us, he has good days, bad days and is sometimes ill. You wouldn't want him driving your train if he was sick, dizzy or passing out, would you.
Let the poor sod live his life and get on with yours.
And by the way, if you got up in time to get an earlier train, you would have some leeway if there was a problem.
