its very simple, after you have washed your hair comb through using a wide tooth comb then scrunch dry it with a towel giving you damp curls. Then with a professional gel on your hands, scrunch the curls. Be careful not to separate the curls, or you'll get frizz. Using a diffuser attachment on your hair drier, hot heat, but slow speed, dry hair 90% until curls are crisp. Then scrunch your curls with your hands. The crispness will disappear leaving lovely ringlets with a great hold.
For straight hair, use serum prior to straightening, then hold straighteners in hair for longer. When finished, reapply some serum.

I have the same problem. To keep it curly use Loreal Paris Studio Line Hot Curl and to keep it striaght use Loreal Paris Studio Line Hot Straight they both work really well and if that dosen't work try and get some good straighteners or curlers.

i have curly hair and what i do every morning is wet my hair over the bathtub and the i let it sit in a towel. Then i run conditioner through my hair, then i run gel through my hair. After that I put it into my favorite style then I scrunch my hair. It works great i've been doing it for 2 years now and i get compliments all the time!!!!
Good Luck!!!! :)

get a firm hold hairspray for curly I recommend paul mitchell freeze and shine superspray (professional) and Ice finisher shaping hair spray in a metallic blue bottle (professional). as for straightening there's really nothing besides hairspray or pomade or wax. If your hair is naturally curly and you straighten it, avoid humidity, moisture and perspiration as this will bring back your curl.

for curly hair either get a perm [which frys your hair, so i'm not really suggesting it too much] or right when you get out of the shower, srunch it with mouse and gel. any kind will stick. and then spray it with hairspray when you get the look you want.
for straight hair, what kind of straightener do you use?

You sound just like me! To get any style to stay, I always wash my hair with a straighteing/smoothing shampoo and any conditioner. You always need to use conditioner. I use a shine serum to get my hair to hold styles and buy a reallly good hairspray and straighteining serum. If this isn't workin get some hair glue. Its fantastic! just don't use alot....
