I'm 5'2" and on a diet, so I've been there done that.
Not too long ago I did what you did... cut down my calories to 900 cal and lost a couple pounds. After a week...nothing! After a month...nothing!! I got frustrated and didn't understand why I wouldn't lose weight anymore so I went 'crying' to my trainer.
Now I work out, stick to a healthy diet at around 1500 calories [my trainer even told me 1800, but I am not that brave yet] Guess what? I am losing weight, and I know for sure I can keep this up. It was just really hard to believe that eating more will make you lose weight.
BTW: 114 is just fine, but I know how you feel. If you don't feel good about yourself it wont matter what everyone else has to say.
you prolly like me, always under eating, so instead of fat you've lost muscle, you look good in pants, but have no muscles, so you feel fat in a swimsuit.
STOP IT!! EAT!!!!

It's hard to answer this as everyones body is different. It depends on how much exercise you do each day as well as the calories will burn off as you exercise. You don't need to lose any weight anyway you are not overweight. The best plan to try and be healthier would be to just make sure you eat at least three good meals a day, healthy snacks in between if you feel hungry and make sure your diet is balanced along with a fair amount of exercise. Try doing the free diet profile if your curious on www.eDietsUK.com I did one once and I'm sure it gave an ideal amount of calories to intake daily taking into account a couple of things such as height, weight, how active your lifestyle is, frame size, etc. Hope that helps.

noooooo don't do it. It's one of the most fundimental errors when it comes to weight loss, the heavier you are the more you have to eat in order to lose weight sucessfully. If you eat too little then you body will assume that there is a famine in progress and will start to use muscle tissue rather than fat which may initially appear to be weight loss as muscle is quite heavy compare to fat. However one of the added benefits of this (if there is a famine on) is that your metabolic rate will slow, enabling your body to survive on even less calories. Great during a famine, completely hopeless if you want a sustainable weight loss. Consequentally when you go back to eating anything like normally then you will not only put on all the weight that you lost you are very likely to put on a bit more and it will all be fat which only uses 4 calories per lb per hour rather than 16 calories per lb per hour used by muscle so in the long run you will put on weight more easily. This is not what you want.
I've said it many times, I'll say it again, join weight watchers, if you can't loss weight with weight watchers then you aren't in the right place mentally to do it and nothing is going to work for you long term. Any weight loss program will work if you stick to it but weight watchers is the easiest to stick to because you can eat anything you like an it is incredible flexible.
Good luck

No, you need to eat at least 1500 calories a day. The normal, healthy American eats 2000 but if you're trying to loose weight, eat only 1500. Also, stop eating on those horrible diets and diet foods like Weight Watchers. There are chemicals in there that actually hurt your stomach so you won't be hungry. If you eat good food and 1500 calories, exercise, and believe in yourself, you will lose weight. But if you stop eating, your stomach will digest itself and you will be in BIG trouble!

I am in my sixties and from lifelong experience you will only
lose weight by changing your lifestyle for good. That means
get moving especially out in the fresh air, also gym if you can
afford it, concious effort of eating healthy, that means lots
of fruit and vegetables. Calories can be made up of rubbish
food but it is much better made up of healthy food and no less
then 1200 a day otherwise your body will pile on the pounds
because it goes into starvation mode.

To lose weight dont count calories. Just eat when your hungry and stop when you feel full. Cut down on the fat content. To loose weight just eat a healthy balanced diet, exercise 2-3 times a week and hey presto. Exercise is the key to losing weight, not just eating healthy.

Your weight is fine for your height.
Do not cut calories. Try to excercise, work out with weights.
That will help you shape your body.
If you eat too few calories for a long period of time, your metabolism slows down. The weight you will loose will be more muscle than fat. If you think you are fat now you will think the same even if you will be 10 pounds lighter.

no, you will gain it all back after
I am tired of telling people this
you need at least 1200 a day to keep it off forever
if you go any lower than that you will lower your metabolism and then gain all the weight back unless you diet forever
bump up your calories a little

The others on here are right. Surely you must have some common sense? You're fine - you'll just screw up your metabolism eating that little. Speed it up by exercising regularly.
