at an idian wedding you decrate the steel plate with some sort of ribbons and fabric is there any website i can have a look at with some deisgns and tips for this decoration

As far as design, I can't help you. You might find some pictures in a library, or maybe some Indian would help. to fasten things to the steel plate, if you scuff up a small part of the plate, you can mix up J-B weld according to the directions, and it will adhere quite well.
