Due to an eye problem, I have to tape goggles to my face at night when I sleep. In the morning when I pull them off, some of the adhesive residue is left on my skin. I have tried alcohol and make-up remover, but it isn't doing the job. Since it is on my face, I don't want an irritant. I have checked with a couple of local pharmacies and they don't have anything. Go any ideas!

Mineral oil should work. It is found in baby oil. Alcohol makes it worse. Naphtha takes goo off. It works harmlessly. You can get it in lighter fluid used in cigarette lighters. Not butane that does not work and is dangerous. lighter fluid like Ronsonol also has little or no odor. It will not harm any finish but I am not sure you want that on your face. Goop is toxic and has Acetone which smells horrible and is very toxic and burns like hell never use this for anything. Nail polish remover is acetone. Never use it. Try Noxzema it also gets goo off. It just needs to be oily to remove it. Peanut oil will also work as well as olive oil and grape seed oils. None of the oils will harm you. By the way did you know lemon and orange oil take fresh paint off your hands and leave them smooth? They smell good too.

Maybe you should consider using a different adhesive. Today there are many different types for sports, medical emergencies, etc. There are probably some for more sensitive skin types. Otherwise, I would suggest using hot water and a facial scrub which will be safe on your face but a little more aggresive than plain soap.

Hi. I'm a Mary Kay consultant. Have you tried our oil free eye makeup remover. I have used it to take adhesive residue off my husbands harm from a bandage and medical tape. It is very safe to use on your face obviously.

Any hospital has adhesive removal pads. I throw those out all the time being that I work in environmental at a hospital. But those pads have oil in them so since you wont get it from there try any oil and let it sit for a while...The nurses uses it on patients in telemetry (the heart monitor)

Put vasaline on the areas where the tape has contacted your skin and figure out a way to attach soft hair bands to the goggles instead.

Sweetie, rubbing alcohol works well.Get you a cloth of some sort, like a tissue maybe, fold it and put plenty of alcohol on it.It will come right off, also they make specific products for this type of thing you could go to a store in your area(maybe a pharmacy?) and ask for the products.Alcohol works just as good though.Good luck hun and have a good day.

Rip it off really really fast! No, Im j/k... I would put your face in warm soapy water (not hot cuz then it gets even stickier, I know) keep putting it in and out for a few minutes. Then take a blow dryer, set it to warm, and while blow drying it, take your other arm and start peeling slowly. Key is slowly! Good Luck!
