Do I have to pay my 200 illegal workers the new minimum wage? How will the Government find out if I don't?

If the government finds out you have hired illegals, they won't care if you were paying them the minimum wage. You will get a fine and maybe jail time because it is against the law to employ them.

I could care less about your new jag. I don't think its fair that you are hiring illegals when you should be hiring legal immigrants or American citizens.

What would it cost to enact the minimum wage law for 200 workers at around $1700 for each a year? Over the next three years? Anyone hiring illegals needs to be arrested, tried and convicted!

Who cares what you think is fair or not. What you are doing is not fair…. first of all you should at least consider other people around you. People came here to make a better living not to be treated like slaves and get paid nothing for their hard work. How would you like it if they did that to you and your family? The gov. doesn't care, so whatever you do, please be careful because if and when you get the new jag ..it might be keyed and loused up. You might want to put another string of barbed wire around that palacial home of yours as well, and hire new armed guards with more powerful pay loads on their weapons.
The challenges of life make it more and more expensive to live. When all law and oder evaporates, your emplyees and all other Americans may come looking for you ...for reasons other than putting a spit shine on your new fancy vehicles.

ummm if you worker is illegal then you are already breaking the law. So if you dont pay minimum wage who cares because you are already screwed if the gov finds out. Ummmm in my personal opinion your new jag is the most important thing. Who cares about the illegal who cant afford to eat. There is a very easy way to avoid paying illegal workers $7+ per hour and that is:

Don't employ illegal workers. Very simple.

If people like you would reach a bit deeper into your pockets pay actual Americans or permanent residents we wouldn't be in the immigration pickle we're in now.

If you are filing income taxes for a business, the IRS will look to see how much you've paid in employment withholding and for who. If the employment withholding is really low, that'll trigger an audit. If you have bad social security numbers on your employees, that'll trigger an audit. IRS agents will visit you. They'll invite INS along. You'll get all sorts of penalities and maybe even jail time.
