It can already be logically shown (and has been for centuries) that a benevolent, omniscient god cannot exist.
An omniscient god who is not benevolent is possible, as is a benevolent god who is not omniscient.
However, the two in conjunction is at odds with the world we currently observe.

If a given god was proven false he should do some esthetics with antics and frantic spasms, such as foretelling and claiming openly with cinicism. He or she would be not punished for being an unfit organ but reminded he (or she) is supposed to belong inside things, not around! For sake of truth, this only happens as a natural result of evolution, and as a formal joke, a rather serious avatar I assure you. Just kidding. Bye.

if you could prove G-d was false (and it'd have to be very, very good proof and evidence) then it still wouldn't matter, because there'd be a collective human unconscious to relay upon (in short we'd probably become Buddhist or something like it)
but it's impossible. you can prove something exists, you can't prove something doesn't exist. It's like me saying "there is a red bottle that doesn't exist". What?! You can only prove that actions attributed to someone/thing were not done by the someone/thing
Edit: great answer Jerry

Without God, it is impossible to prove anything, so the only way you can prove God's non-existence is by assuming his existence to begin with.

Pointless question because you can't.
You can't disprove something someone has experienced themselves.
If I saw rainbow (and you don't believe in them), what could you do to prove me wrong. You would never change the experience and my knowledge from direct experience.

Nothing, then I would see that there's no point in living life. In life there's a purpose and I want to fulfill that purpose God has in store for me.

Create a new version of their god, and start worshipping that.
