First there would be no more Iraq, it would be Iran vs Saudi Arabia vs Syria(kurdish). Assuming Iran wins. because lets face it they are more prepared and stronger than Saudi Arabia, Iran will use the oil fields it captures to leverage more flexability with nuclear capiblities. Which they will in turn us on the "zionist" Jewish state. After Iran fires one towards Israel, and they will because Tehran has said they would destory Israel, they will retaliate with the full force of their arsenal, the strongest military in the middle east. This will drag in every muslium country against Israel, which they would eventually succumb to. After finishing with their main target, jews, they would be free to focus on the west and its eventual destruction. These people will not stop at Israel, look at Somilia they will NOT stop till either we are dead or they are.

OKAY......The IRAQI invasion was the WORST thing we could have done.
It upset the whole power balance in the area in FAVOR of Al Queda, IRAN ,Syria, and all the Jr. Terrorists that got a new AK 47
Osama Bin Laden has gotta love dummy GW BUSH. Osama is playing CHESS while Bush is playing checkers
The mid east is a war zone.....but the prize is the OIL...if we anger enough Muslims they are gonna find a way to disrupt oil supplies. Africa is chiming right in ..ready to do their part
Then FAT....HOG....GLUTTON Americans will have to get out if their SUV's and walk. The mideast diet....WALK!
Now that we have provided " free american targets" to the millions that hate the USA..we have given them EXACTLY what they want.
Remember the sayin from the Vietnam WAR era......"WE LOST, BUT THEY COULD NOT HAVE WON WITHOUT US".
This is a lose , lose situation for the USA....but we might look better with the pounds off.
Mohammed Chaos Jr. says ...thanks for the free targets!

I think if we leave Iraq, Iran will march in and take over the whole country which is what they want to happen. Then Iran will control about one half of the oil in the world. With Iran and their religious kooks running the place, they will then try and take out Israel then we will probably have a third world war.

The cost to the Government is political and diplomatic: loss of prestige and importance and power.
The cost to Americans is financial: $100/bbl oil, huge deficit to be paid by taxes or else depreciation of the currency -- or both.
Very sad. There probably will be an acceleration of the diminution of the middle class and the concentration of wealth in a New Aristocracy: the Great Gatsbys of our time. (And, hey, Great Gatsby was a fraudster.)

An extremist group will control the oil rich nation of iraq, and rather than use that money to care for the people of the country, the money will be used to finance terrorism, and eventually grow into a problem a hundred times worse than it is now.
So we can deal with a problem this size now, or put it off temporarily, like the democrats want to do, and let it grow into a monster.

i think that whatever happens, there will still be an eventual civil war there. whether it happens in the next year, or a decade from now, i dont see it being solved without a war.
when that does happen, i think the USA will keep ambiguous ties with both sides, so as not to alienate the potential winner of the war. the world economy will fluctuate minorly, but unless they destroy their oil fields and suppliers, it wont affect things as much as you'd think.

as so frequently happens with violence, it will grow out of control and take on a life of it's own.
as to what will happen 'if' we lose in iraq, we are seeing the results right now.
foreign nations are switching emphasis away from the dollar in favor of other currencies, such as the euro.
out ability to influence other nations has diminished and will continue to do so.
economically we will continue to see jobs and factories leave the usa until we are reduced to a 'service' economy - one that needs to import everything from elsewhere just to survive.
these things are 'going' to happen, they ARE happening right now.
to be blunt, we have an unqualified fool in the white house who literally has no idea what he is doing and no positive vision for the future.
the decision to invade iraq will have scholars and historians scratching their heads for many many decades to come and may very well be one of those unanswered questions of history.
bush will be well defined by history though, as a man who has employed addictive thinking patterns to the white house and their devastating effects on our nation.
to those who think we can't ever become a bannana republic, think again...

A loss in Iraq will mean a lesson to all that unnecessary war is not what the American people want.
It will be a lesson for the American government to mind its own business and interest and not be dictated by israel.
And Finally, it will mean that Americans should be more vigilant against their elected representatives as our founding fathers wanted.

A loss in Iriq would be a sign of weekness and invite more fanatics to attack the American people. A cowardly bully will not pick on someone unless they think they can get away with it.
