Veteran's don't get a military ID. Only Active Duty, Reservists and Retired personnel(medically and longevity). If you are none of these things, you do not rate an ID.

What kind of ID?Active or inactive! A military ID that you get when you are enlisted, you can't get after your out. An inactive ID you can get at your local VA hospital with proof of who you are and your DD214.

If you were in the Military it would be good to take your DD214 with you, so they can verify that you are a Veteran.
