Some is reusable, some is recyclable and some is trash.

You can reuse jars and bottles and small plastic containers (make your own jam, keep nails in jars, bottle your home wine, keep small change, grow vegetables).

You can recycle glass, paper, card, plastic.

You can compost veg peels, egg shells, nut shells, tea bags and coffee.

That doesn't leave much in your bin.

It depends on your lifestyle but aproximately 70-80% of British household rubbish being recyclable in some way. The overall waste can also be reduced with lifestyle changes such as reducing the potential waste you produce and reuse items as much as possible.
