"Enlarges your heart so it can pump blood around your body more quickly
Increases the capacity of your lungs so you can breathe in more oxygen with each breath
Improves your digestion
Makes your metabolism more efficient

depends on what kind of exercise you do. Cardio and Aerobics will burn calories during the exercise and strengthen your heart. Building muscle will burn more calories even at rest. When building muscle you are actually tearing your muscle and as it repairs itself it gets bigger and stronger.
