Someone needs to confront the mother of this child. I feel that an intervention is in order. There is no reason a 5yr old child should be emulating stuff like that. Obviously this family needs help. Children do what they see.

I don't know how close you are to this child but this sounds very serious. I think I would talk to someone close to the mother or call Child Protective Services. This is a VERY bad habit and it's unlikely she would make up seeing her mother do it.

being that I'm a foster parent I would tell you to contact Child Pretective Services and report this to them. Bring that to the nurses attentions at the school.. If you are her caregiver then you need to report this to someone before this child ends up in the hospital for dehydration, and other medical problems that can happen.

There could be a lot of reasons...
my nephew has a LOT of allergies to some foods...she could have allergies
Or
a stomach/throught problem or irritation
Or
she is mimicing what she sees.
Call her pediatrician and have her checked out! If it's because of her mother....confront her about it...and keep your daughter away from her....or call Child Protective....
Good luck

It could be a eatting disorder, or it could simply be that the child is eatting too fast or getting air in her stomach when she eats and it is causing her to throw up.Call her peditrician and find out the answers. They may want to do a swallow study on her to rule out a physiological cause.

This could be an attention getter, or she could have a stomach condition, or maybe she really does see her mommy do it. I would start with taking her to the doctor if it is your child, if not I am not sure what to do.

Mom needs help, but the kid does too. Or she's fishing for answers. Take your concern to her parents, tell them you are afraid she is not getting the nutrition she needs. The mom could be sick (chemo makes ppl sick), so be nice and don't jump to conclusions too fast.
