I would have to say my ribs, it's not painful, till a couple or years after they have healed, because they are still painful.

I agree that broken ribs are rough.

I've also fractured my pelvis (and it re-fractured during child birth...oh what fun!), so that was pretty awful too. It hurt to walk sit, use the bathroom, etc.

I also dislocated my shoulder and tore one of the rotator-cuff tendons, and 20+ years later I'm still in pain.....

I think it all depends on how bad it is, where it is and any recurring problems you might have.

I have only had 1 broken bone. When I had my son, I broke my tailbone. That is probably nothing compared to breaking another bone. I just could not sit down on anything without a donut for about 2 months.

Ribs, fingers, arm and nose-not too bad. I broke a very small bone in my right foot that "shredded" all 3 of the main tendons (while walking out of my fav. hunting spot.) 2 surgeries and 3 years later, it still gives me almost daily feeling of a bad high ankle sprain. I'd have to say that's the worst.

I had knee surgery and they were only suppsoed to move a ligament but when the doctor opened my knee up he realized it was worse then he thought so he had to break my shin bone in half to move my knee cap over and then screw it back together
I was in so much pain I was taking 6 pain killers at a time I had to re-learn how to walk it was horrible

the very worst pain I have ever felt in my life

clavicle. you really have no idea how much your clavicle (and the muscles that are attached to it) affects your everyday life til you can't use it.

plus, there's no cast for it, you're just stuck in a horrible annoying brace for 6 weeks or more. and if you break it after you turn 15 or so, the bone stays kind of jutted out of your chest. i broke mine when i was 9, and it's still protruding a little bit 10 years later

i've only broken one bone, it was from a four-wheeler accident 6 years ago. they called it a radial fracture, but the end of the bone in my elbow actually completely broke off, and i had to undergo surgery to have it reattatched with a screw. the only time it really bothers me now is if i've been doing heavy lifting with it.
