What is warmer down comforter or down alternative comforter?

What is warmer down comforter or down alternative comforter?

We have a down, and are waking up in the morning sweaty. Should I replace with a alt. down? Or just replace all together? Don't want to replace duvet if I don't have to.

down is warmer. try setting your house thermostat down a couple degrees. You might save a little on the heat bill too.

The down comforter is too hot for me. I replaced it with a cotton blanket.
