I have finished 4 rounds of chemo & have a runny nose almost constantly. Possibly infected due to blood often also. (so sorry, I know that's gross) I also live in a very dry climate in CO but have had this for over 2 wks.

Most oncologists have an experienced nurse or PA who is readily accessible by phone to answer questions like this. Have you called them?

The reason I make that suggestion is the response can be different depending on the type of chemo that you have received, and in some cases even a minor infection must be taken very seriously. My suggestion is that you give them a call.

Aloha

Each chemo has its own side effects. You should ask the nurses or you doctor. You didn't say what chemo was for. If you have BC there is a great website www.breastcancer.org. it has a live chat room you can ask questions or others in there.

That's normal..chemo dries me out my skin gets rough and and my nose bleeds..I live in a dry climate as well so I can certainly relate. If you think anything is infected though let your oncologist know. Good luck and God bless

I had a runny nose after my CMF chemo, but I called my doctor constantly every time I had a different symptom. I figured, hey, it's expensive treatment, so might as well get your money's worth- Call your Doctor.

Also, just so you know, there IS life after treatment!

Take care!

Mom's got the same issue living in Montana. The good news is that she takes her last round next week. I sincerely wish you the best of luck!
