us troops and contractors died in Iraq 3019.

us troops sent to Iraq 520,000(130,000 troops in Iraq at a time times 4 years in Iraq many are sent more than once so that brings down the number but marines and air force go for about 6 months so.)

.58% or 58 out of 10,000. the soldiers and marines walking the streets stand more risk than cooks or supply personal so it depends on your job.

There have been roughly 1.5 million soldiers rotated through Iraq since 2003. Of that, just over 3,000 have been killed and 30,000 wounded. When we say wounded, we talk about anything from a scratch to a catastrophic injury. That comes out to about 1 person in 500 soldiers are killed and 1 in 5 are wounded.

My chances of being hit by a car at home are better than getting killed here.

I go there every day. I cry every time I go there. We have spent $400 billion already in Iraq. Over 3017 brave Americans have died in Iraq.
Only 23 Senators voted no on the invasion of Iraq. Republicans have said to me "if we leave they died for nothing", that shows me they do not get it, they never will get it. They served, they did the duty, they can never die in vain. The number of Service men sent to Iraq is hard to come by. Some are there for the third time.

I know someone who has observed them being flown into Walter Reed Hospital every night, and am told the death and wounded figures we have been given are grossly under reported. Keep a sharp eye!
