The gene for twins lingers with the female. So it is a very good chance that you'll have a set of twins sometime while bearing children. It's hereditary in you since it's deep in your maternal family.

You do have a good chance of having twins, as the twin gene will skip a generation.

There is a good chance you will have twins. My grandmother had twins, my mother had twins, and now I am due with twins in March. So it depends on the family.

Your chances of having twins are not any greater than the next person. Identical twins does not run in families and it does not skip a generation either.

I have heard that it is the mothers genes that determines twins. I hear that it is because you will release more than one egg at a time to be fertilized. I can't prove this, but it sounds good.

good luck either way.
