There are so many cases out there of teenagers murdering and commiting horrible, horrible crimes. Their story is that because of their disturbed enviroment when growing up all they knew is violence. To what point can our enviroment shape us to the point when we can no longer jugde right from wrong?

I read somewhere that by the age of 5 children know what is right and wrong.. that is real scary to think at such a young age, children can differentiate between right and wrong and then we hear of all the wrongs committed by teens. So in other words Teens should know what they are doing. But I doubt any Teen not brought up in a loving home and enviroment would pass this test.
I hate even the thought a teen tried as an adult or given even the death sentence. Yes, there seems to be teens that have not lived lives of being just a kid, and have never known innocence of any kind and it seems that they have always lived lives as young adult living in and adult world. But I believe that even if they have lived lives as adults from birth, they are kids and mentally and spiritually they are still immature in nature, for all their adult living. If they truly knew what they were doing and what the consequence of their actions brought on to themselves and other people..would they have done what they did. If they were mature, had lived in a thriving and good enviroment, loved and brought up in a Faith-filled home, I doubt they would commit some of their crimes.
Being so young they need a second chance. The families of the victims if they have hurt others might not be so happy, but they should be assured these young people will not be getting out again without help and when they were completely rehabilitated.
That is how I see it.

Well, everybody has a different case. I mean, it goes on a case by case basis, you should be able to tell if the teen is really disturbed or not. For most of the time, I think no, a teen should not be tried as an adult, but on extreme cases; such as rape and murder, than yes. But under any other circumstances, teens that keep doing bad should be sent to a foster home, to see if the family really is the problem. If a foster home doesn't work, the teen is either lost or trying to rebel for putting them in there. There are very few cases in which a rotten teen does not belong ion a foster home, they belong in jail, but until they prove that they belong in jail, they should be put in a home. Does that whole thing make sense, if not I can reword it.

i believe if they are going to do these horrific crimes, that they should be treated no differently than an adult who committed the same crime. maybe if they knew they could get life if they took a life, maybe they would think twice about doing it. don't think the environment they grew up in should not matter when they hurt others. as for the death penalty it really would and should be only used for the most horrific of murders.

he environment as a whole is awful, everything we hear and see as full a violence, every kind there is, so it is no wonder since parents do not sincere there children and pay attention to them that become the criminals of the future.

Without God we can no longer judge right from wrong. God gave us the law. He is the lawgiver. We have a society forgetting God and it shows in our young people and their crimes. It shows in all people.
