I have heard this. I enjoy a large cup with honey and lemon an hour or 2 before bed time, though I usually have to wake up and pee in the middle of the night :(
They say green tea before bed time helps speed up your metabolism at night so that it doesn't rest...and an active metabolism means weight loss.
At any rate, it does have a lot of antioxidants, and I really enjoy the taste.

Yes, Green Tea is a good way to enhance a weight loss program. It has very little calories and boosts your metabolism...making it easier for you to burn other calories you've consumed. While it doesn't make them melt away all by itself, it does add to a healthy lifestyle. I personally drink 2 cups of Green Tea with Mint every day (mint helps to ease stomach uneasiness).

green tea wont make you lose weight magically. It speeds up your metabolism and is a diuretic, but it wont make any noticeable difference. You you drink it while on a losing weight program is good though.
It is good to drink it, because all the anitioxidants it has.

Green tea is very beneficial and is thought to help preven cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, high cholesterol levels, cardiovascular disease, and infections. I'm not sure if it will help you to lose weight, though. As long as you are not sweetening it too much, I think it would be good in any diet plan. You could search for more information on this site. some belive so because of the high anoxitident levels in tea, however there isn't enough compound proff yet, however it will help you be more healthy over all and if you like it why not?
