Without just "plunging" right into it and saying, "Do you still want to go out with me?" How can I ask my girlfriend in a subtle kind of way, really. I just want to know.
Maybe a way I can get a casual conversation going and then kind of asking her it in a subtle way, e.t.c

You can always keep things casual. Being confrontational gets people nowhere. Just gently bring things up or incorporate it into the conversation. For example: "Wow, this week has dragged on and we haven't had a chance to talk much, but hope that changes and we can spend more time together" that type of thing.
