Does he think I am going to beg for him or should I just give him space right now?
I am scared of losing him.

I agree with brown_eye. Give him his space and, try to think of yourself. Have some fun with your friends and, try to change your ideas. I just have to say that when you love someone, YOU AWAYS KNOW. Just the way you know how you feel. Love is not a doubt but an emotion. Doubt is uncertainty.

I don't know is not a great answer...
I don't know often means "well I can't really tell you truth because that would hurt your feelings."
It can mean "no" but saying "I don't know" is just easier.
It can mean "I'm not sure right now but don't want to say yes for now."
If your ex is an ex...you had to have broken up for a reason.
As hard as it is, you may want to move on and not wait around till his "I don't know" turns into yes.
I know a guy who told me " I don't know" and in the end, he really didn't want a relationship with me. So I learned the hard way.

He's confused. Just back off and give him some time. Don't bug him about making a decision, let him come back to you, and meanwhile, get on with your life without him.

He is probably thinking, been there done that.. didn't work the first time why should it work now.

If he is your ex, then you have already lost him. You obviously split up for a reason...and the response "I don't know" may not technically be a "no"...but it's not a yes. Move on.

just ask him if u still love me and i love u. lets get back together and just try it and see how thing work out, and if they dont then we will no, that we cant work. love is very powerful and if u have love for someone u need to fight for it.
