When you are short sighted, your spectacles make objects look smaller & further away (including the floor).
When you wear contact lenses for the first time things appear larger & closer (they are actually normal size now). As you wear the lenses, your brain adapts to the new image size & things will quickly appear normal again.
good luck.

If your lenses are for astigmatism, then they may be rotating on your eye. If this doesn't settle down within 10 minutes, they may not be fitted properly, either too loose or an improper lens design for your cornea or eyelids.
To confirm if this might be the problem, look at a straight line (a true horizontal or vertical line make good references) and see if it tilts back and forth much after blinking and if this stops very soon after a blink.

I havn't had contact lenses before.
But i am thinking about it Friday I will Get my eye exam and measurements.
Now i am thinking what if they aren't comfortable and end up wasting 99 bucks. :-(
I want to get Contacts for the day time while driving to wear sunglasses.
I have heard problems with contacts before somthing to do with not putting it right or no having enough liquid solution or moisture try dipping it in to solution.

the refraction index is different between glasses and contacts. When you switch you notice the difference. I use contacts since i am 11 years old, and they are so great!!, you're going to love them!!
Give them another try!
i know is hard to get used to them but after 8 years of using them i can truly say they're a blessing!

Are they gas permeable? (what used to known as 'hard') These don't stick to the surface of the eye in the same way as soft lenses, they float up and down, leaving a line at the bottom of the view where you can see the edge of the lens. You get used to it.

It took me a few tries to become comfortable with my lens when I first got them.
Make sure you have them in the correct eyes too. Even if your prescription is only slightly differant in each eye, it does make a huge differance.
Just keep blinking and good luck!!

You just need to persist with them. You've gone from the lenses 10cm from your eyes, to the lenses on your eye. You just need to adjust.

Just your eyes adjusting to them. Try them for about a week and see if it gets any better (it should). If not, give your doctor another call.
