me to be ok with it. He will go away for months at a time and then tell me it's a terrible mistake and that I'm his soul mate. Would you treat a soul mate like this? What is going on?

hopefully you guys are young because that is not what you do if you are serious about your mate. find someone who will be there for you 24/7... it won't be worth all the heartache in the long run

Ok this is just MY ASSUMPTION; But I am guessing the reason he KEEPS coming in and out of your life is because...YOU LET HIM. HELLO?? I'm also ASSUMING you are very much aware of this. It's hard I know I've BEEN THERE. Like I said BEEN....I had to put a stop to it. I am a human being(constantly told pretty damn hot 2)but nevertheless I'm STILL A PERSON and No one deserves 2 be used and abused(mentally/emotionally) like that. SO get out, walk forward and do NOT turn around....POSSIBLE in future he could Honestly(rarely found in people)see what he's lost and change, but until then, find someone else or something else 2 do with your precious life w/ only one chance at life. GOOD LUCK...you will need it...its hell..but YOU CAN DO IT.

Well who knows what's really going on, but I will do my best to make an educated guess based on my experience...

This guy is fickle. He doesn't really know what he wants...so it's easy to leave for a while then decide when he feels like it to come back to you. He may really feel like you are his soul mate and needed some time for thinking/some space/whatever.

If he continues to do this, you need to drop the loser and find someone who is there forever. Think about it in the long term - do you really want someone maybe in marriage who is there only 50% of the time because some days he just doesn't know if you are his soul mate??

Fickle guys are tricky. It's so hard b/c sometimes we want the guy to be ours but they have issues....and we make excuses for them and go ahead and date them anyway...then we get hurt in the end.

You're better than that. Tell him to get his act together if he's serious about you. Otherwise, maybe you should move on. If he doesn't love you and you don't see yourself getting anywhere with him- like marriage- then find you true soul mate.

I agree...if you have let him before he will keep doing it. Get rid of him...I hardly believe he really thinks of you as a soul mate. If its like this right now it will only continue to get worse.

He keeps coming in and out of your life because you let him. He expects you to be ok with it bacause apperantly you are. Get some self respect and lose him. so next time he leaves to hook up with someone else, tell him not to bother coming back to you because you are not a door mat.

He does it because you let him. Turn the tables if you want and when he comes back, tell him "NO" and he will probably do everything he can to get you back. Just realise that he is going to leave again. It is just a short term solution.

Well said B4freedom....he lets you because YOU let him continue doing the same thing over and over.

He's not the dumb one here. Sorry. I don't mean any disrespect or to be rude but he is U-S-I-N-G you.

He is taking advantage of you and he knows you will always take him back. You have to break free of him and move on. You deserve better!!
