well, first Madrassa means School..any school in Arabic.
I am attending a school that teaching Islam is part of the curriculum.

I guess we have different outlook on life. Since we study religion and we do belive in it.. in a way it enriches my ideas of life...it gives me a sense of security that there is a God the I believe in, that there is Fate...

in a way it becomes part of who I am..

I went to a Church of England school from 3-8 and all I ever learnt about was Christianity. They didn't even tell us that there were other religions, so if a saw someone wearing a turban for example (Sikhs cant cut their hair so they protect it by wearing a turban)- I thought it was because they had a weird fashion sense.
When I moved to a Multi-cultural school 8-present I learn about so many new things, communicated with people who have different backgrounds and it really opened my eyes and I learned alot more. I now love learning about the different religions. I think the only good thing about a religious school is that there is no racism (I came across that in my Multi-cultural schools).

I attended a private school from 3rd grade to 12th grade. It was a very small school, with off the wall rules.

There was no music program, no arts program, hardly any sports program, poor teaching, spanking, just a few trailers in a field basically.

The cost of attending the school was about triple of public schools, and you recieved an education that was sub-standard to a public school education. This debilitated me when I tried to attend college, and has effected my potential to make enough money to provide a nice home and other nice things for my family.

We had different teachers every year, because none of the good teachers wanted to stay there, because they didn't get paid enough.

The rules would constantly change, so one week you had to wear a belt to school, the next week you didnt. One week you had to wear a specific type of shoe, and the next week you didn't.

It definatly shaped my outlook on life, my self-esteem, my entire mentality in a very negative way. It also messed up a lot of the other students that were forced to attend the small, disorganized, overpriced, under-resourced "school", if you can actually call it that.

I was raised in Catholic school and taught all the same things anyone else is, including Evolution, but I was also taught religion so I think it benefited me to be able to see both angles.

I am not Catholic, but I don't think I received an inferior education. I have my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a career in Business Management, not to mention much better English, grammar and spelling skills than many of these public school graduates (and attendees) here ;)

religious is just that! I believe that a person is uni ck in ever way
God knows ever one he love us, some people are smarter then other, some are nicer looking , there is a book on personality
4 differ rent personalty Rockie, that a strong ,clarinet is outgoing, there different modes and behave . at best god sent his son to died on the cross for each of us. I believe that each of us have our gifts from him if we except them. with that in mind we have to make a choose for him. there is God the father, God the son, God the holy spirit the 3 in one, it is the holy spirit that speck to your heart, study to show your shelf a prove, ask and it shill be given to you knock and the door will open. Jesus is the way the truth and the light,no man come to the father but by him. all the bibles say that.

wow, what does islam say in their religious schools, ? worldwide.

I know that in america, specifically on the Glenn Beck Show, ON CNN, there have been several Shows about testimonies of Hatred toward America is being taught.
Although I know the GREAT SATAN is a major part of politics and many people in america would rather become sodom and gomorah there are just as many people who believe in righteousness and attend their schools of religious studies.
but i dont believe anyone of them teath the correct truths of God.
If hatred and suicide bombings are the martyrs of a just and true god, i dont believe it either. IF children get 72 virgins is a true reward of martyrs, I will tell you Jesus promises houses and wives by the hundredfold, in this LIFE.
but unto the wicked, the fornicators and the rapists, they will not receive rewards of righteousness, they will receive damnation.

I went to a Catholic school my whole life and had religion instruction every day. All I can do is speak for myself....I now have nothing to do with the church and will never send any of my kids to a catholic school.
