My 2 boys (ages 10 and 5) have heard the "reminders" often enough. We have moved on to giving them "the look." Again, both of them know what this means, and you can see the lights come on when they realize they aren't supposed to interrupt. A few talks after interruptions and they'll remember!

I'm not saying your a bad mom or anything I'm sure your a good mom. I'm just saying you sound mad at then.Try to remember what it was like to be a kid they have thoughts and feeling just like us.

No I don't stop talking but I do take a Monet to find out what it is and ask them if it can wait until I'm done

Kids need to learn not to interrupt. I tell my kids that if I am talking, they can come hold my hand as a signal to me that they woul like to tell me something. When there is a break in conversation, I'll turn to my child and give them the attention they need w/o being rude to the adult. It takes practise, but once a child learns that you will listen to them, if they are patient, it can work.

We tell the children in our family to say excuse me when they want to interrupt and they do. You seem to have a serious hate toward children ( looked at your other questions).

I don't know what your so angry about Micheele L, the fact that children are being children or your the fact that your behaving like a child.

I stop it just long enough to tell him not to interrupt.

A child will have nothing on their minds than what they want to say. They need to get it out as soon as they can and forget others are talking. It is a natural thing for a child, but you can always remind them afterwards it is polite to say Excuse Me.

Just teach your kids to say excuse me or not to bother you while on the phone unless it is an emergency!

I stop long enough to tell my child to wait and remind him it is rude to interupt, then finish my conversation.

my child is the most important person to me, weather it can wait or not... no adult conversation is more important than what my child has to say to me... teach your child (children) to say excuse me and have patience.
