do guys like a girl to play hard to get? i heard that girls should not answer when a guy calls. instead they should say their busy....so does playing ahrd to get really work?

The art of playing hard to get is a tough one to master. You have come off as not completely out of reach, but not always available. Men are always (even in a relationship) looking for a chase. Don't always be available, but don't be too distant. Use your brain and it will be fine. :)

I hate it...why would someone play hard to get if she interested in that certain guy. When a girl plays hard to get, I just do the same and go after someone who ain't a total B I T C H

No. Girls that play hard to get often don't get got.
They're asking him to assume that acting as if she's NOT interested actually means she IS interested.
So, what's the difference playing hard to get and actually not being interested?
Most guys will understand "I'm not interested" to actually mean "I'm not interested" and look elsewhere.
There's more females than males, so the odds are in his favor that there's someone else out there.

Both men and women play hard-to-get. It's just a big game. The chase is always more fun and exciting than when you actually catch the person you thought you wanted.

I hope so, i only play hard to get because i'm shy.. I hope i'm not giving off the wrong impression, but when a guy does call, i don't say i'm busy, if i'm not, because that just seems rude.

Depends on the guy, if the guy is insecure or not as outgoing he will just think that your not interested and look elsewhere. I mean personally if the girl doesnt seem interested within the first week I lose interest myself.
