Is it possible for a wild crow to learn to speak english? It is possible for them to speak 3 languages? I ask becuase my co-worker was talling a story about how she used to see this crow at her old job and he would speak 3 languages and had "quite a vocabulary".

Crows are very intelligent. They can pick up quite a few words. There was a guy that got into trouble for always wolf whistling at the girl neighbors- no matter what the age. Found out later that it was a crow living above his house making the racket.
As for 3 languages- if it was taught 3 different languages, yes. You can have parrots talk in only spanish- because that is what they were taught. A bilingual or trilingual house bird could learn all 3 pretty easily.

I am sure that your co-worker is telling you the truth. Crows are incredibly intelligent and can be excellent talkers/mimics. Wild crows are also able to recognize people on an individual basis, unlike many other species of wild birds.

I will post a link that has a couple of talking starlings on it. Techno's "Hey, Liverlips!" cracks me up every time I hear it.:)

I have seen crows say words, yes, it was a little freaky. I once had a cockateel that would whistle the theme song to the "Andy Griffith of Mayberry" show and could say a couple of words (some of which were swear words).

I will say that they can speak, becuse I heard one yell Honey Honey, One summer I was driving down a road and saw a yard sale they wwhere selling cages I pulled over and saw a bunch of birds in out door flights, it was a rescue. the crow yelled honey and the people came out.

Yes,they can speak.My Mom had a talking crow when she was younger.
