every school has their policies. Even if it is not fair you have to go through it. That is a fact of life. Even with work, you see alot of things going wrong, but then when you read your contract , you are like that is not fair!
Me and my colleagues went to the training school at the same time, but when we were recruited. I wa recruited locally, they were recruited from another country , so they had to fly to come to the office. What happened they got the annual bonus whcih was 3000 dollars because of ONE DAY DIFFERENCE
we started training the same exact day, but when i asked how come the locally recruited dont get the bonus they said because we got recruited on the 1st and they got recruited 31st. 24 HOURS DIFFERENCE AND THEY GOT 3K!!!!!
So if you are not happy with it change your school, because there is nothing you can do about it . nless you could afford togo on a strike and make a few students join you

Get over it. Yes, it is fair- most schools have rules agianst that sort of thing. How hard would it have been to raise your hand and ask to go to the water fountian? In my high school, we used to have 3 hour detentions saturaday mornings.. you should feel lucky that an hour is all you got for it!

It depends. Where were you when you were taking your drink? was the drink an alcoholic one? Is it against school policy to drink in the area. were you drinking in a way that would be distracting to others?...there are too many variables....so while it may not be "fair"...it may have been the right desicion by the staff...don't worry about it, do the penance and move on....Life is really too short to get upset about stupid stuff

Live and learn. Sometimes we are punished for things that seem completely ridiculous. If this is the worse thing that happens to you this month, consider yourself blessed. Don't sweat it. It's just a hour. Fair is often something that is completely subjective. What is fair to you, may be completely unfair to another. Cheer up and learn from the experience.

Yes. The school has a in locus parentis relationship with you. You have to obey them. If the policy is no drink outside a certain time or place, and you broke it, and the rule is applied evenly across the whole studient body (with exceptions for medical reasons) then I would say yes, it is fair.

Get over, there are alot of things that are unfair. An hour detention is probably the least of some I can think of.

Life is unfair. When i went to school, we never had vending machines. There were drinking fountains in the hallways and you had to grab a sip between classes. Follow the rules, get a life.

If the school policy is against it, and no doubt students are aware of the policy, then yes, perfectly fair. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

Honey, who ever told you life was fair? Behave yourself and stay out of trouble and stop being deviant and then questioning what is fair. Grow Up!
