This is a wonderful question. If you area wondering how so much hurt can be in the world if God is real, I have some answers for you. First off, hurt and pain came into the world when Adam and Eve sinned. By giving us free will, God allowed us to make choices.
Reading a book by Phillip Yancey might help you understand. The book is called WHERE'S GOD WHEN IT HURTS? and it really illustrates this and explains it for you.
Look also at the book of Job in the Bible. Job was a very Godly man yet he suffered some of the worst pains imaginable.
If you have a lot of hurts you are trying to deal with, I recommend the book by Joyce Meyer called LORD, HEAL MY HURTS. I'm reading it now.

I believe God is real. I think bad things happen to good people because Satan is trying to turn them away from God. God doesn't stop bad things from happening because he gives people the choice of weather to sin or not. He will only protect us from bad things and forgive our sins if we ask him to. I don't understand why God made the earth or people. Bad people and criminals will be punished by God, when they die. I also think that God created the earth for us, we are more important to him than it. My niece died of cancer when she was nearly three years old. It really seemed so unfair that she didn't get to live a long life. Many people were praying for her, but she died anyway. The only thing I can think of is that God wanted to take her to heaven. I wish she didn't get cancer in the first place, but I am glad that she isn't suffering any more. Thank you for the chance of explaining what I think about all this. I hope I haven't made you sad. Best wishes.
The big bang theory is just a theory. Scientists have no way of proving it. Personally I don't think it makes much sense. It annoys me that it is taught in schools as a fact. I told my children to let the teachers know that they have learned the theory so they get good marks for it. My daughter got an A+ for writing an essay explaining it and then giving the reasons why she didn't believe it was a fact. Good luck with school.

All the bad things that happen in the world today are the result of human sin. Some are caused directly by the sins of individuals or groups, and some, like natural disasters and wild animals eating people and each other are due to the curse of sin incurred by Adam.
Christ told us that as long as sin exists, there will be no peace and we will always have trouble in this world - especially if we serve the Lord! But we can have hope that soon Christ will return and put an end to all sin and violence. I can't wait for that day! :)
Getting a fatal disease is actually an opportunity to grow closer to God. It is when we are at our weakest that God's strength manifests itself in us. Have you ever met a Christian who had a fatal disease who was happy and at peace and not afraid to die? These people are the best witnesses for Christianity. It is the fear of death that causes humanity to cry out, "Why did God let this happen?" A Christian who truly allows the love of Christ to remain in them does not fear death. A Christian would love to trade in this miserable, imperfect body of death for a new, perfect, immortal one and an eternity of fellowship with his Creator! A Christian who was dying of a terminal disease would cry out, "Praise the Lord!" and "Thank you, Lord, for considering me worthy to share in your suffering." (His suffering on the cross.)
You are right to continue to believe in creation rather than evolution. There is a mountain of evidence against evolution, and I would recommend reading the book "The Evolution Cruncher" by Vance Ferrell. You will find a wealth of scientific information that you will never learn at a liberal college.

Our whole life is an experience. We were not all made alike and our personalities are all different.
Bad things happen because it is all like a test for us. We get through the bad times and see the happier times.
Its all a challenge and if you are religious then you will feel that your Holy Book is there to guide you through the rollercoaster ride.
Have faith and just think that everything happens for a greater reason....It may not make sense to you at the time that youre going through a hard time but when you come out of it and it all looks clearer.
Trust me......A world without all these ups and downs could never exist.

I believe God is sovereign in his grace, he creates us then we turn on him like he is a monster. We forsake him and reject what his son, Jesus did for us and expect great things. I don't believe it should be a question of why God lets bad things happen, but why would he want to help anyone after what we did to him in return for His love grace and mercy. These things that happen are a result of our sin and the consequences and effects that come from the wrong decisions we make. I am sorry if this is too hard to accept.

Sometimes to separate the good from the bad; it has to endure a little heat. That is true of friendships, and those that love God. Stuff like tsunamies, earthquakes are 'a litte heat'. As for criminals going free; if you believe in Hell and Heaven; do they go free from that alternative?

Bad things happen to everybody, not just "good people."
God IS going to stop these things from happening and set everything straight on judgment day.
God allowed disease and death in this world as curses against us for disobeying him. And I assure you, sin does not go unpunished by God. People that think they got away with things in this life have another thing coming to them!
God is sustaining the earth for a time, but he is going to destroy it. Natural disasters are also curses against us in response to sin.
No apology necessary!

many questions...let me start with the beginning
God loves us more then anything on this world, but we are sinners, through Adam and Eve's sin, we lost our happy liefs in God's paradise, and that's why we have to face the troubles on this earth. I think bad things happen to people, because God is strengthening our faith, He wants us to turn to Him and look for Him, but He promised us that no burden will be to big for us to carry. Remember, God did once destroy the world, through the flood, all though He loved the people, but He couldn't stand their sins. Everything bad happens on this earth, because of us, because of our sinful nature.
I hope i did answer some of your questions!

Because satan is the God of this world. Bad things happen because they reject the ways of God. God has given everyone free will so its no wonder why bad things happen. If God didn't allow bad to happen, nobody would be left. Nobody gets away with anything, God see's it all.
The big bang did happen, but God started it.
