I don't like how friendly she is with him. Well, my son's birthday is coming up, I asked her if my boyfriend could get some party platters half off for the party, and she said she would donate them (so they're gonna be free) she has 3 small children herself, now I am wondering, will it be rude for me not to invite her and her children to my sons birthday, since she is helping me out???

Well if your son isn't friends with her kids, then I wouldn't invite them. However, I would set aside the money you would have paid for the platters had they not been donated, and send a small thank you gift after the party. A small plant or flowers, an inexpensive bath set, etc, with a nice card. This way you're not getting something without telling her you appreciated it.

If you aren't friends with her, or more importantly if your son isn't friends with her kids than you would have no reason to invite her. Just be sure to send a thank you. Though it's not really fair to not like her yet take advantage of asking for half off and getting them for free. Just because she's friendly is no reason to dislike her.

No that is not rude. Your son does not want kids that he does not know at his party. It would be rude if she expects an invitation. So don't feel like you have to ask her. If you feel the need to something than I would give her a thank you card from your son. (that is only if you feel like it).

By all means invite her and her children. When you place too much emphasis on your jealousy it makes you appear insecure and immature. Rise above this, show your confidence in your boyfriends love and commitment and it will make everyone feel more comfortable, especially you. She is showing an act of generousity and you should follow by doing the same.

Is your son friends with her children? It would only be necessary to invite them if they are friends. Write her a Thank You note and be done with it.

You don't get along? She seems like a nice lady. I think think it is rude not to invite her. You guys aren't friends. She's just your boyfriends boss.

If she is providing the food I think it would be very rude not to invite her. Better frinedly and to have a bear for a boss
