All chain letters are scams, and operate on the principle that there is an endless number of people in the world.

We all know that this is NOT the case, and the supply of people to "send you $1.00" will eventually run out, probably before you see a dime.

The only people who make money on such ILLEGAL scams are the ones who originate them. They prey on people who are too hapless to do the math or the logic.

Please don't fall victim to such a scheme. Throw away the letter/email without responding. Tell all your friends to do the same thing with any that they get.

Felony offense since 1935. Look up the Send-A-Dime scandal of that year. Also look up the names Dave Rhodes, Karen Liddell, and Paul Boivin, all of whom found out the hard way that chain letters can completely ruin your life.

And report the sender to the postal inspector ASAP.

This is a scam, I'd stay away.

You'd almost have to have everyone you send the letter too respond, then everyone they send the letter to, and so on. It never works, and you just waste your time, money, and will get your hopes up for nothing.
