Actually anti-western and anti-Israel sentiment runs rampant not only in the middle east but worldwide. The rest of the world figures the west is rich and powerful and therefore is evil. It is simply a case of envy. Yet when we try to make the world a better place and help out nations we are accused of being the worlds police. Hypocritical anti-west garbage.

The worst the west can be accused of is being indifferent at times towards other nations and not caring. The only nations and ideologies that we hate are the ones that threaten are way of life and national security. That is not to say we hate all of Islam, just the militant factions of it. We actually have good relations with many Muslim nations such as Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

Interestingly, this is the first time I've heard this suggested. Daily, I see Muslims (on the news) chanting "death to America" and many other hateful murderous things. Personally, I hate no one. I live in Canada and there doesn't seem to be hatred for Muslims or Islam here. Confusion, yes, but people seem to be getting along just fine. I hope we can set an example for those who feel differently.

The west doesn't hate Muslims. It's the radical Islamic extremists who have time and again declared their war on the west, their intent to purposely disrupt, intimidate, and bring down western culture in order to bring about a new Islamic world order that the west will not tolerate.

I'm betting that Muslims have strong feelings against westerners too. Try reading Samuel Huntington's "Clash of Civilizations". It might shed some insight for you. You can probably find it on the internet somewhere, it's only a few pages long.
