Human beings are animals. If we have souls, why would other animals not have them?
I don't beklieve in a soul per se, but I do believe that animals have a sense of self and that they may have been humans in previous lives or will be in future lives.

I think that when a human loves an animal, that human gives the animal a little piece of its soul.
Wild animals (and those not loved by humans) only have spirits; when they die those spirits get reabsorbed into the great spirit of that animal (deer, squirrel, whatever) like a drop of water into the ocean.

According to Aristotle, who pretty much set the definition of soul, they do. Anything that is alive, even plants, he considered to have a soul. He classified souls according to consciousness. What a soul is is the life force in the entity. Now, the idea of an ETERNAL soul is a Christian concept, which would be limited to humans. If you just think of the soul as life itself I have no problem with the concept, but I do not accept the idea of an eternal soul.

They dont have souls in the same way we do.
Because the idea behind having a soul is so that we may get questioned for our actions after we die, since we have something called a conciensce.
animals dont know right from wrong and dont have a conciensce. so it wouldnt make sense for them to have souls that are like ours...it could be on a different level tho

I believe some do. The soul is mind, will, and emotion. My cat shows will and emotion. But animals lack spirit.... the driving life force that makes us ponder things such as after-life, and even God.

Everything that exists is a facet of the quantum singular universe, expresions of vectoral perception. Since all things are one thing then yes, animals have a "soul" just as much as humans have a "soul"
They are us, we are them, and all of us are singularly "god"

All go to one place: all are from the dust, and all return to dust. Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth? Ecclesiastes 3:20-21
