Does anyone know of a well-known reliable insurance company for a family which has "preexisting condition"? Example angiogram done three years ago or hospitalization five years ago? My friend has been denied for insurance due to this fact?

Definitely try applying for various insurances, they each have
different criteria for acceptance. Also, as a supplemental
plan (or the main plan during the waiting period) consider
the my simple card membership.

If they turn you down just try some more. The only way is to keep on trying new ones and learn as you go along. If I spent one whole day on this by the end of it I'd know much more so I think that you can do it too. Hoping you get first time lucky though.

It's 3 years to not be considered a pre-existing condition. That means the person can not have been treated for it in the last three years. If he has, then it's pre-existing, chronic condition.
