Try not to comb or brush your hair when it's wet. Your hair is at it's weakest when wet, so try not to pull on it then.
If you are out in the sun a lot, try to use hair products that have a UV protection because extensive exposure to sun light can make the hair look dull.
Try not to use heated products everyday such as dryers or curling irons or flat irons. Over time, these products take their toll on your hair.
What I do is let my hair air dry on days when I don't have a hot date or something special going on. After it is air dryed, I either just let hang natural or I put up in a clip. Using a spring clip does not cause hair to break off like a rubber band or barrette would.
I use a one hour conditioner once a week to help strengthen my hair.
If you do shampoo everyday, try to buy a shampoo that is marketed for everyday use.......or says light shampoo. Most shampoos are too harsh to use everyday, so if you are using those, try to use only amount about the size of a pea and focus the shampoo to your scalp and not so much towards the ends.

Dry Hair Care Recipe

TIP: To avoid having dry brittle hair, avoid using hot curling irons or blow dryers, bleaching and perming, and hair dyes....use safe alternatives instead such as natural dyes like hennas. Sometimes lacking nutrients can also cause dry brittle hair. Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement on a daily basis.

Get a shampoo to do that. But your hair is your hair. You can straighten it or get that stuff you put in your hair to make it not frizz because its heavy so it might lay down.
