My husband and I took my daughter, her daughter and 2 more grandchildren last summer. Kids ages 12,13,14. All enjoyed park very much. Hike to top of mountain was further than my husband, daughter, I thought it would be, but we made it.lol There is lots to see and do. Kids loved water slides 30D movie, intractive park for kids. Train ride was relaxing after all the walking. Diagram of park is not to swift, so don't be afraid to ask attendants where something is. Food was good. Prices are what you should expect in a theme park. Park is owned by same as Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, so there is plenty of music. Not good for handicapped people as walking is not level.Make sure you stay for fireworks. We stayed outside park at Holiday Inn Express with coupon we got out of travel book found at Rest Area. Very good Comp. Breakfast.Wished we could have went to see Christmas Lights. Living close, you might want to buy season pass. Duck Ride was good too.

Ride the tram to the top. The view is great from atop the rock (providing it's a clear day)
There is a train ride with a couple of stops, a small zoo, a riverboat ride across the road at the lake. Nice museum with a beautiful horse sculpture.

Stone Mountain is well worth a day. In the summer they have a fabulous fireworks and laser light show. I'm not sure if that runs during the winter.

there are some nice things there. It could get pricey though. The one day parking is eight dollars. There is a beach-like area with sand and a playground in the area. There is a plantation, a car show, minature golf court, nice train ride(open, so wear gloves, etc),hiking and picnic areas, a sky lift that takes you up on the mountains. there are also many specialty things done geared around the holidays and seasons. There is a place to see animals as well. And, of course a few nice place to eat and plenty of stores to shop at.

It's great. Go during the spring. There is a water park, train ride, miniature golf, lakes, hiking trails, sky cars to the top, a turn of the century village, museum, steam boat ride, a fireworks/laser show at night.... And much more... Really fun for a family.

I've been and I thought it was boring.

The most exciting part was pulling into the parking lot and seeing that huge carved picture on the side of the mountain. I wished I had just taken those photos and stood by my car and looked at it a few minutes and then left.

Anything past the parking lot is just boring. There is a train ride......but I almost fell asleep on it.

Stop by, pull into the parking lot, take a few photos......and then leave and go on to downtown Atlanta and walk around and see the sights.

Have fun!
Robin

Don't listen to the person above. She doesn't know what she is talking about.

If you've never been you definetly need to go. It's a
very great place to visit, especially with family. So many things to do you will not be able to do them in one day. The mountain is beautiful and the experience is great. Especially if you have never done it. I highly recommend it.

It's a nice park with some decent little hikes. There's a big ol rock there with a pretty impressive carving of Confederate generals as well.

Yes, I think it's a great day out. I think it's $5.00 a car to get in, and there are all sorts of fun things to do.
