There are external causes of afflictions and tribulations. I think being beheaded is a good example of Other people causing someone to be ill. lol
being drugged and poisoned is the most common form external cause of illness. it happens in every shopping mall every day. but just because some people are blind and cannot see it, doesnt mean it doesnt exist.
it is written that the church of babylon, which is not a church, practices poisoning through its wine of fornication and its sorceries. see Rev 18:23. through the methods a persons mind can suffer extreme paranoia, extreme road rage, dillusions, false psychic abilities and even sickness unto death. Like cancer and heart attacks.
NO i do NOT take responsibility for their evil and their wickedness. in fact if a person is Drugged and Raped by the use of some kinds of Viagra, the sins of the victim are judged on the heads of the rapists.
However, what happens in the next life, I will have ability to Fix and repair all the wrongs done, and in this sense of taking responsibility All righteous men and Holy men will indeed take responsibility, especially if it is required by our saviour. There is a clause in the saviours Grace that he Cleanses Us All from sin even though our sins are Red as scarlet. They will be made white as snow.
I have written a least a thousand pages on this subject matter and have learned by extreme experiences that there is more to your question than just a simple Lack of honesty in its words.

Good question. Most of the people on Answers aren't ready for such great questions about personality responsibility, self-mastery and what it's like NOT to be a victim.
I'm not perfect at it, but at least I'm aware that the answers to all the real important questions I have are within me, and that things don't come from without and attack me...at least not without an invitation.
I cringe when I hear people in victim consciousness...and telling them solves nothing, just makes you part of the problem in their minds.

I take responsibility for my own actions. If I have done something wrong, I'll admit it and apologize, without making excuses or blaming someone else. It's hard sometimes, but having integrity feels better than not having it.

For a long time I blamed my upbringing for all of my problems, then I came to realize that I am responsible for my own actions, and I was just using that as an excuse. I AM responsible for my own actions. If I am unhappy, its my own dang fault.

I'd like to think I take responsibility most of the time, but sometimes I do lapse into a bad habit of blaming everyone but myself. Thankfully I have friends and a partner who call me on that.

The good thing about belief in karma is that you have no one else to blame. I take sole responsibility for actions and consequences.

It is easy to see that everything in Nature is due to cause and effect. If you go back to the cause of effects, you might arrive at the Big Bang. The questions for responsibility is pointless. It´s better to ask: What can I do; how can I react to things. (Preferably with love and compassion)

I take absolute responsibility for my actions. After all, that's why they're called MY actions.
