They told me only eat broth and jello -- no red. But orange seems awfully close to red.

Yes. Important for you endoscopist that you have a very clean colon during the procedure. Food, especially meat and fiber forms bulky stools which are difficulty to remove in preparation for colonoscopy. Jello however is no problem regardless of color but make sure it does not contain bits of fruits. IT IS ADVISABLE TO TAKE LOTS OF FLUIDS. This will ensure a clean colon and prevent dehydration since you will be asked to take something you defecate like crazy.

You can eat jello. That's all i know. Any color and flavor, but with no pieces of fruit in it.
