I happen to work in a small office with my brother. He farts in there and they smell really bad, and they linger for a while. I always have to get up and leave the room for a while. He laughs about it, and doesnt leave the room to have gas. He also has to poop all the time but doesnt go because he's either too busy or lazy. What should I do?

Excessive gas can be a symptom of something else one of which is bowel cancer. The longer your stool remains in your bowels, the more apt you are to develop intestinal problems.

Your brother needs to have the reason for his intestinal gas checked and he also needs to learn why not moving your bowels when the urge to purge hits is not a good idea.

Talk to him.

Hopefully you guys are the owners of the business because I can tell you the boss will probably not be too impressed if he walks in to be greeted by noxious fumes.

If this office is ever visited by customers, it will also leave them with a negative impression of your company and they may not want to return there to do business a second time.

What I would do is bring in air fresheners and/or incense to burn. Open a window and keep the office more ventilated and cooler (smells tend to travel less in a cold environment).

Make sure that your brother is aware of the affect it has on you by sitting down and talking to him seriously...Don't just get mad and swear at him because he probably thinks it is funny to p--- off his brother. You may need to push for separate offices if that is possible, so that any gases emitted by him remain in his office or cubicle.

If you are really mean, you could always get back at him by sneaking chocolate Exlax into his food. When he gets the runs and either messes his pants or has to run to the toilet, you can then explain what you did and tell him that if he continues to give off bad aromas and not taking it "outside", you will make sure he ends up on the toilet for lengthy periods of time!!!
